Pauline Winnifred Connor
Age 91, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully 10 October 2018. Born in Simcoe, Ontario 16 January 1927, she was the daughter of Paul and Eunice (Sweet) Jones. Pauline grew up in Waterloo, Quebec then moved to Drummondville in 1945. Pauline also spent time in Northborough, Massachusetts, and St. Hilaire, Quebec before moving to Dartmouth in 2001.
In addition to being a homemaker and realtor, Polly always said she had five graduate degrees in motherhood. Music was an integral part of her life spending over 75 years singing in various choirs, most notably the Westborough (MA) Chorus and Cole Harbour Woodside United Church. She also enjoyed giving back to her communities through volunteering with the UCW, Prison Ministry, Dartmouth General, and, for the last ten years making hundreds of teddy bears for the IWK and Bryony House.
Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband George Edward Connor and son-in-law David Sheppard. She is survived by her brother Wesley (Jean) Jones, her children, Janis Connor, Anne Connor Sheppard, Donald (Sally) Connor, Cathy (Dr. Christopher) Graham, and Claire (Kurt) Groll. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jonathan, Harley and Mitchel Sheppard; Matthew (David Vince), Alexandra Connor; Dr. Erin (Andrew) Sullivan, Robert Graham, Keith Graham; Jeffrey (Maggie) Groll, Kelley (Hunter) Gomez and Tyler Groll as well as her great-grandchildren, Jack, Freddie and Deke.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday 20 October, 11:00am at Cole Harbour Woodside United Church, 15 Bissett Road, Cole Harbour with Reverend Michael Mugford officiating.
