Forever Loved
McCloskey, Patrick- Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Friday, December 29 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Beverley McCloskey, brother to the late Joe and Anna Mary (Glen). Loved by his sister-in-law Edith and many nieces and nephews. Pat was born in Dungiven Ireland in 1926 and immigrated to Canada in 1928 to Kirkland Lake with his family. He was a WWII veteran, farmer, GM employee and avid hockey and baseball enthusiast. He was inducted into the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Throughout his life, Pat performed many acts of charity and helped people less fortunate then him. He is now at peace and reunited with his family.
Our family would like to thank the special Angels who helped our Uncle over the past 3 years – Marlene and Lauren and the wonderful staff at Seniors Helpers and Lakeridge Hospital. Resting at Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby, (North of Dundas) 905-443-3376. Friends are invited to visit Saturday, January 6 at 10:00 followed by service in the chapel at 11:00. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are appreciated to Sunrise Seniors Apartments (905-432-8416). Notes of condolence and memories may be shared at www.mountlawn.ca
