Obituary for
Patrick Tremblay
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce his passing in Sudbury, Friday, October 12, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Pat was very active in his adopted home of Levack where he coached minor hockey for many years. His love of hockey started early and he played many years of competitive hockey. His fondest memories were playing for the Levack Huskies–a storied local hockey team. After retiring from Inco, he was the local “go to” handyman for many in Onaping Falls. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, humour and humility.
Beloved husband of Judith (née Parker) Tremblay of Sudbury. Son of the late Joseph and the late Elizabeth (née Vesey) Tremblay. Loving father of Patrick (Cindy) of London, David (Wendy Nicol) of Guelph and Nicole of Val Caron. Dear brother of Margaret Kribs (late Norm) of Toronto and Frances Sloan (Sherman) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his siblings Charles, Gerry (late Pierrette), Eugene (Helene), Joseph (late Helene), Arthur (Toni) and Elizabeth. Cherished grandfather of Emily, Ian, Parker, Nicolas and Abbey. Patrick had a special bond with his nephew Chuck (Yvonne) and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Cremation to take place at the COOPERATIVE CREMATORIUM, Chelmsford.
As per Pat’s wishes there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will take place in early December– date to be communicated shortly. At that time we will invite family and friends to join us in sharing our collective “Pat” stories.
