Passed peacefully away 12-Jul-2018 at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Born 23-May-1944 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Predeceased by his parents, Mary Lake and Otis Ritchie, his grandparents, Joseph and Hester Lake.
Leaving to mourn his loving and kind hearted wife, Annie and his daughters, Darlene (Curtis), Valerie (Brendan), Pamela (Brian), Norma Jean (John); grandchildren Brendon (Elizabeth), Tao (Riley), Sophia, Chris (Rachel), Lisa (Nathan) Zander and Emma; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Jaya, Curtis and Charlie and numerous relatives and friends, too many to name. A special thank you to his brother Wayne (Juanita), sister, Deborah and the staff from 3N PCU. Dad enjoyed life in his country home, enjoying nature and wildlife, fishing, hunting and riding his quad. Singing (he had such an amazing voice), playing guitar with family and friends and listening to his music. Cremation has taken place, visitation to share stories and memories of Dad to take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday-15-Jul from 4-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NL Lung Association. Rest easy Dad, we will miss you forever.
