Obituary of Norma Muir
Muir, Norma Betty (nee Allen) – passed unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 in Beamsville at 90 years of age. Betty was born on August 21st, 1928 to her parents Audrey and Norman Allen. Betty married Henry W. (Scoot) Muir in 1950 and the couple moved to Beamsville where Scoot worked for Hydro. Betty is survived by her husband Scoot, son and daughter-in-law Bob and Donna Muir, daughter-in-law Cathy, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Allen Muir.
Betty drove school bus and had fond memories of the many students she met. An avid golfer, she was a member of the Twenty Valley Golf Club for over 60 years. The couple enjoyed golfing through the winter in Okeechobee Florida. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew her.
Betty will be buried in a private ceremony in Embro, Ontario on a date yet to be determined. A celebration of life will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
