Norma Laba
June 27, 1930 – December 13, 2018
Norma of Halifax, 88, passed away on December 13, 2018. Norma was born in Lourdes, Pictou County, a daughter of the late Alonzo and Catherine (MacNeil) Keay.
Educated in Our Lady of Lourdes School and Stellarton High School, Norma continued on to work in Boston. After settling in Halifax, she was employed for many years with the Halifax Herald Ltd.
Norma was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul; Brothers John, Edward (Neddy), Robert and Breen Keay; sisters Eunice (Francis) and Marjorie (Prozenar). She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Norma was a longtime resident of Parkland at the Gardens and enjoyed her time there.
Cremation has already occurred. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 20th at 10am at Saint Agnes Church on Mumford Rd with reception to follow. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. To leave an online condolence please visit www.cruikshankhalifaxfuneralhome.com
