Nora Louise (Butland) Tower
1940-2018
Nora Louise Tower, 78, of Miramichi and formerly of
West River passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2018 with her
family by her side.
She was born in Alma on September 3, 1940 the daughter of
the late Burpee M. and Nora Margarita (Morrissey)
Butland.
Nora was a hard worker and worked at the Alpine Motor Inn
in Alma. She attended the West River United Church when it
was in operation. She loved Bingo and had made many friends
over the years travelling around to different Bingo halls.
Nora loved her family very much and have left them with fond memories
of the days in West River where they all grew up. She will
be remembered for her great smile and laugh. “May Fond Memories
Cling”
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Connie Duncan
(Stewart) of Sus, Debbie Cromwell (Richard) of Riverview and Wendy
MacDonald (Bert) of Miramichi; her treasured grandchildren,
Brandon, Corey, Raymond, Aharon and Kevin; step-grandchildren,
Aundrea, Carrissa and Jeremy; precious great grandchildren, Landen,
Tyrel, Carter, Deon, Meriah and Sofia; step-great grandchildren, Eric,
Megan; cherished great grandson, Layten; sisters, Beulah Ramsay (Bill)
of Oromocto, Levera Douthwright (Dennis) of Berry Mills; brother,
Burpee G. Butland (Debbie) of West River; sister-in-law,
Marilyn. She will also be missed by several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved
husband, Everett Tower; son, Dale Tower; sisters, Pearl,R. Grace,
Geraldine; brother, J. Emmerson
The family will be meeting with relatives and friends to
celebrate Nora’s life at the Albert County Funeral Home on Sunday,
December 23rd, 2018 from 2-4pm. Interment will be in the
Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, NB at a later
date.
