Obituary Overview
Noella Troesch
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Noella (Godbout) Troesch announce her sudden passing.
Noella was born in Edam SK on Christmas day, 1930, the eldest of three children to Joseph and Marguerite (Valliere) Godbout.
She grew up on a farm near St. Hippolyte and later moved with her family to Edam. When she finished her schooling, she worked as the telephone operator for the Edam Rural Telephone Company. After work, she played softball in Edam and enjoyed the time spent in tournaments with her friends. She then worked as a nurse’s aide in the pediatric ward of the Notre Dame Hospital in North Battleford. It was at this time she married Martin Troesch. As the family grew, and with children in tow, the family moved throughout Saskatchewan following Martin’s work on the pipelines. They finally settled in Saskatoon in 1959, where they raised their 3 children. Noella resumed working when Market Mall first opened, and worked in various stores there until her retirement.
Noella was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 60 years and very much enjoyed her volunteer time spent in the kitchen. She loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and her soaps on television, and vey much enjoyed knitting dish cloths, and crocheting toppers for hand towels.
Noella is survived by her children, Denise (Denis) Bonin, Leo (Deborah) Troesch, and Claudette (Ryan) Horachek, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, brother Lionel Godbout, brother-in-law Joseph (Anne) Troesch, and her God daughter Andrea Muir. She was predeceased by her husband Martin, her sister Yvette Muir, brother-in-law Andrew Muir and sister-in-law Shirley Godbout.
Her children would like to thank the staff in the CCU at RUH for their loving care and compassion they gave our Mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, Saskatoon.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Noella Marie Troesch 2018.source
