Nelson Poole – August 9th, 1956 to October 26th, 2018
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that Nelson’s family announce his peaceful passing after a two-year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Biggar, Nelson spent his entire life here. Nelson loved all sports, excelling in hockey, ball and lacrosse in his younger years and then taking up golf and curling when he was older. He loved his Toronto Maple Leafs and Saskatchewan Roughriders and never missed watching a game. He was fortunate to have gone to several Riders games in Regina.
Nelson will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Connie (Krchov) of 39 years, his son Bryan, daughter in law Lyndsey and grandsons Evan and Tyson. Brother Don (Judy) and sister Donna (Ron) Nicholls, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many people he was proud to call his friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Alf and Muriel and in laws Bob and Helen Krchov.
His 6 year old grandson Evan wrote him this note …
Dear Grampa, I hope you have a good time in heaven. We will miss you. Love Evan and Tyson.
Special Thanks to Blackie and Flake for the weekly trips to the city for chemo, Dr Muller, Biggar Hospital Staff, Cancer Clinic Staff and to all that send cards, texts, food, phone calls and visits..
Although we will miss him dearly, we are thankful that he is now at peace.
