Nan Susan Yenta-Gordon
YENTA-GORDON, Nan Susan, age 59, of East Lawrencetown, passed away May 13, 2018 in Oakwood Terrace.
Born in Pembroke, Ontario she was the daughter of the late John Eugene and Othelia (Lynn) Yenta.
Nan was a nurse who worked on 4 South of the Victoria General Hospital in dermatology and general medicine. She also volunteered at Atlantic View Elementary, Ross Road Junior High, and the Lawrencetown Community Centre. She loved to paint, bake, and cook, and she was always helping others. She was a natural caregiver by heart, not only by trade. She was always smiling and full of life, she was a true angel, and dedicated her life to looking after her family and others.
Nan is survived by her husband of 35 years, Glen; daughter Franklynn (Justin) Wamboldt; grandson Taurin. She is also survived by her sisters Gail (Andrew) Beck, Donna Yenta; brother Larry Yenta; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Gary and James.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 23rd 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1pm on Thursday May 24th in Saint John XXIII Parish, 35 Colby Drive, Dartmouth. Cremation to follow and interment to take place at a later date.
Thanks to Oakwood Terrace and the extraordinary caring staff that took care of Nan during the last several months.
