The family moved to Kiersteadville where he worked hard at
farming all his life. He had a great love for the land and his
animals. He was very generous and was always ready to lend a helping
hand to anyone who needed it. In later years, he enjoyed the
newspaper, the wonder word, books of any kind but especially Louis
L’amour Westerns, and many jigsaw puzzles.
He leaves to mourn, his three daughters: Ruth Patterson of
Hampton, NB, Shirley Prescott and her husband Jim of Kiersteadville,
NB, and Joyce McLeod and her husband David of Saint John, NB; six
grandchildren: Darren Prescott (Traci Shannon), Jonathan (Jennifer)
Prescott, Lisa Patterson (Gary Howard), Andrew Patterson (Wendy
Short), Kathy McLeod (Kevin Loughery) and Christopher McLeod (Jodi
Butler); ten great grandchildren: Jesse, Justin and Joshua Prescott,
Benjamin and Stephanie Paulin, Regan Howard, Kady and Karly Loughery
and James and Jackson McLeod; sister-in-law, Laura Bonney; as well as
many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Murray was predeceased
by his loving wife, Vera M. Law in 2000; sisters: Bernice Ramsey and
Edith Gray; and son-in-law Walter Patterson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
