It is with sadness and sorrow that we grieve the passing of Miguel Angel Chocair. Miguel passed away at the General Hospital in Edmonton on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the age of 64. His loving wife Nancy was by his side.
Miguel is survived by his wife Nancy Hulbert, his brother Jorge (Pilar) – with his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Santiago, along with his son Miguel Jr. (Mother Patricia) and his children Lisette (Brendan), Jonathan, and Andre (Mother Adriana).
Miguel was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1954. He made his way to Canada in 1977, starting in Vancouver, and then settling in Edmonton where he started his business of Kompleat Building Services LTD.
Miguel enjoyed travelling, as well as being an avid soccer fan – cheering for Católica and Manchester United. He loved fine Chilean wines and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his larger than life personality, his generosity, loyalty to his loved ones, his great sense of humor, his personal style, and enjoying everything life had to offer.
The Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, 9450 Groat Road NW, on Friday, May 25th at 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Excel Society, the Alberta Cancer Foundation, or the Christian Children’s Fund (CCF).
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Miguel Chocair of Edmonton
