Wakaryk Mr. Mike Wakaryk of Thorhild, AB passed away on April 30th, 2018 at the age of 97 years. He is survived by four daughters, Gloria (Dan) Beztilny, Christine (Charles) Bauer, Josephine (Wayne) Fyculak, Lynda Wakaryk and one son Lawrence. He is also survived by his sisters Mary, Annie, Lily and Pearl, one brother Andrew and sister-in-law Millie Rusinko. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2012, his parents John and Frances, his sisters Katie and Helen and brothers William and Nicholas.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 5th, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Westlock Funeral Home, with Howard Ringstad officiating. Interment will take place at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in Thorhild, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted to the St. Peter and St. Paul Thorhild Ukrainian Orthodox Church building fund, Box 153, Thorhild AB, T0A3J0.
