Crowley, Michael “Mike” John of Oxford, passed away at home Friday, March 16, 2018, following a battle with cancer, with his loving and devoted wife, Jackie, by his side. Mike was a very private person who possessed a very kind heart, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, never expecting, or wanting, anything in return. He worked for several years at the ship yards in Halifax, was a foreman for Killam Properties in Dartmouth, but as someone who loved to drive, it was natural that he was a truck driver for the majority of his life. He was a talented individual who could play guitar and fix just about anything he put his mind to. He is survived by his wife, the former Jackie Bristol, Oxford; son, Jason Thompson, Middleboro; stepsons, Ernie and Billy Jack Taylor, both of Moncton; stepdaughters, Tiffany Langille, Amherst; Merri-Lynne Taylor, Thomson; mother, Pearl Crowley, Greenville; sisters, Judy (Rick) Clarke, Dartmouth; Jocelyn (Roy) Morris, Streets Ridge; nephews, Nick and Jeremy; nieces, Amy and Nicole; grand-nephews, Caden, Luke, Seamus and Ben; grand-niece, Whitney, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his fur baby, Foxy. Mike was predeceased by his father, Laurie; brother, Mark; nephew, Chris Clarke; four infant sisters and brothers; maternal and paternal grandparents; 21 aunts and uncles. Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 18 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, 5075 Main St., Oxford (902-447-2930). Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in St. Thomas More Parish, Pugwash on Monday, March 19. Family flowers only, please.
