McMeekin, David
Following a ten-month struggle with ALS, David peacefully changed worlds surrounded by his family. He is survived by his parents Bill and Helen of Durham, brother Jonathan and his wife Jessie of Cumbria, England, son Joshua and his wife Heather of Caledon and daughter Laura and her husband Matthew Clarke of Espanola. Three grandchildren .. Thatcher, Etta and Wesley also survive and will treasure memories of special times with their Grandpa. Lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as members of the 1812 Re-enacting community, Fergus and Collingwood Pipe Bands.
Celebration of Life::
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 24 at Knox United Church, Durham from 2 to 4 p.m.
