Mary Chiasson
1927-2018
We the family of Mary Agnes (Aggie) Chiasson (McLeod) are
heartbroken at the passing of our mom which occurred at the pine grove
nursing home on September 23, 2018. She was predeceased by
her husband Thomas (Bullneck) Chiasson, as well as two sons Joseph and
Danny, and siblings Alex, Elias, Charlie, Howie, Joey, Martha, Sarah
and Theresa. Mom is survived by her daughters Annette (Ron Goodine),
Irene (Brian Carroll), Mary (Dave Burke), Shelley (Janine MacKay) and
sons Davy (Donna), Eddy, Marvie, Louie (Sharon) and many nieces and
nephews
Mom was born July 18, 1927 in New Waterford, Cape Breton N.S.
Daughter of Mary (Perfect) and James Mcleod. She was a homemaker and a
wonderful mother; Grandmother to 14, and Great Grandmother to
23.
Anyone who knew our mom would remember the wonderful baker
she was. Her tea biscuits and homemade bread were enjoyed by many.
There was always a cup of tea waiting.
Mom loved animals and had many over the years.
We the family, would like to thank all the staff at the Pine
Grove Nursing Home for the wonderful and compassionate care they have
given our mother over the years she was a resident there. We also
would like to extend our appreciation to the staff for their kindness
and attention they showed us during this time
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on
Tuesday, September 25, from 6-9pm. A memorial mass will be celebrated
at St Vincent de Paul on Wednesday, September 26, at 3pm with a
reception to follow. Father Charles Udeh will officiate
Interment will be at the New Waterford and area Cemetery at a
later date,
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary can be made
to the SPCA or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
