Landry, Mary B. – It is with heavy hearts the
family announces the passing of Mary Barbara Lillian (Jones) Landry of
Saint John, NB, which occurred on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Rocmaura
Nursing Home. Born on June 14, 1922 in Saint John she was a daughter
of the late Charles and Mary Ann (Horseman) Osmon. She was employed at
the General Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital for 27 years
in the house keeping department and was a union shop steward. She was
a member of the Circle of Friends and enjoyed bingo and music by
Delbert. She is survived by one son: Frank Osmon (Judy) of Saint John;
two daughters: Carol Dugan of Calgary and Pam Sharkey (Ray) of Saint
John; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and some great-great
grandchildren. The latest being her 4 month old great granddaughter
Aria. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two husbands: Lewis
Jones and Henry Landry; several brothers and sisters.
Mary had a close family like relationship with many of the
Rocmaura staff during her 10 years of living there.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row,
Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from
2-4 and 6-8 pm. There will be no funeral service. A private graveside
service will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish
remembrances to Rocmaura Foundation would be appreciated by the
