Marion Matilda
MacKenzie (nee MacDonald), age 98, formerly of Flat River, devoted
wife of the late Robert F. MacKenzie passed away peacefully into the
arms of Jesus on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the Dr. John M.
Gillis Memorial Lodge with her family by her side. Born October 19,
1920, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Flora (Laura
Matheson) MacDonald. Marion is survived by her loving children,
Douglas (Cathy), Barbara Ann (Brian) Gillis, Billy (Judy), Jeannie
(Dan) Carey and Thelma (Danny) Messer; cherished grandchildren Tandi
MacNeil, Mike King, Linda King, Kenny King, Kara Jamieson, Kelson
Jamieson, Julia Anne Gillis, Ellen (Craig) MacDonald, Matthew (Kelly)
Gillis, Lindy (Pat) McQuillan, Amy (Rick) Keefe, Margaret (Matt)
Walsh, Jeff (Erin) Carey, David (Jessica) Carey, Melissa (Mike) Evans,
Bradley (Nathalie) Messer and Courtney (Adam) Roy;17 adored great
grandchildren; brother and sisters, Albert (Helen) MacDonald, Lucille
MacLean, and Edythe Gillis; sister-in-law Dottie MacDonald and many
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters and brothers Laureta
Larrabee (Austin), Ruby MacWilliams (Johnny), Malcolm (Isabel)
MacDonald, Annalene Strachan (John), Mary MacAllister (Alex), Billy
MacDonald, Thelma MacTavish (Sinclair); brothers-in-law Edison
MacLean, Charles Gillis and Donald (Jean) MacKenzie; sister-in-law
Jean (Hector) Morrison.

Montague Funeral Home with visitation Friday, December 14, 2018, from
4:30 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, December 15,
at 1:30 PM. from St. Andrews United Church, Vernon. Interment to take
place in the Belfast Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the St.
Andrews United Church or the Belfast Cemetery would be appreciated by
the family.
