Marion Elizabeth Komarnisky
Komarnisky, Marion Elizabeth, age 84, of Halifax, passed away on July 15, 2018 in Northwood Centre.
Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late Rena (Carruthers) and Thomas Simpson.
Marion worked at many different jobs over the years, retiring from her last position as a typist with the Halifax Public Library on Spring Garden Road. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family on special occasions. She liked knitting and crocheting and doing word puzzles. She was also known for her ability to read palms and tea leaves. Most of all, she treasured spending time with her great-granddaughter Sofia.
Marion is survived by her granddaughter, Alesia Komarnisky (Andrew MacAulay); great-grandaughter Sofia; siblings, Kay Mattatall, Jessie Cock, Doreen Langille, Gary (Diane) Simpson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Sub Lt. (N) Morris; son Michael; brothers Jimmie Simpson and Tom Simpson.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday July 25, in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens, 767 Main Street, Dartmouth, Rev. James Haughn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Healing and Cancer Foundation.
