Marie Theresa Schneider
Aunt Marie Schneider left this mortal world on Monday morning, May 21, 2018 at St. Ann’s Senior Citizen Village.
Marie Schneider was born on March 5, 1929 at St. Benedict, Saskatchewan, the youngest of the family of Magdalena and Adolf Schneider. She joined her only sister and eight brothers on the family farm near St. Benedict Roman Catholic church in Hoodoo Municipality. Marie attended school at Rock Valley Country School near St. Benedict. She remained on the family farm until moving to Humboldt and later Saskatoon.
Marie is survived by her brother Wilfred, resident at Kamloops, BC. She is survived as the favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephew spread across Canada from Ontario to British Columbia.
Marie was predeceased by her parents Magdalena and Adolf and her siblings Clarence, Mathais, Alphonse, Harlinda, Edward, Peter (infancy), Fr. Roman OSB, and Leander.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Marie by her eldest nephew, Fr. Richard Meidl OSB at Holy Spirit Parish, 114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:30 am. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Ann’s Senior Citizen Village, 2910 Louise Street, Saskatoon, SK S7J.
