Margaret ‘Peggy’ Jardine
1946-2018
Margaret “Peggy” Diane Jardine, 72, of Trenton,
passed away December 23, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in New
Glasgow on January 21, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Frederick
and Catherine (MacLean) Chislett.
She
was a homemaker until the 1980’s when she trained as an LPN
and went to work at High Crest Place in New Glasgow where she truly
felt like she was answering her life’s call and making a
difference in the lives of those seniors for whom she was caring.
Failing health forced her to
retire.
She
is survived by her husband of 53 years, John F. Jardine; son, Daniel
(Gail), Trenton; daughters, Jackie MacKean (Mike), Stellarton, and
Lisa Adshade (Kevin), New Glasgow; step-grandsons: Jeff Bowser (Donna)
and their children Georgia and Ali; and Corey Bowser (Taylor) and
Corey’s children Jared, Eva and Lori-Lynn; sisters:
Bernadette (Joe) Hughes, Trenton and Marie (Chris) Lamey, also of
Trenton; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and
grand-nephews.
Besides
her parents, she was predeceased by daughter, Cathy; sisters: Millie,
Catherine “Toots”, Elizabeth “Betty”, Shirley, and
Anderine; brothers: James “Jimmy” and Fred
“Bud”.
Funeral
will be held Thursday, Dec. 27 at 11 am at R.H. Porter Funeral Home,
55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow, Fr. Tom MacNeil officiating. In honour of
Mom’s favourite cause, donations may be made to the Pictou
County SPCA.
