Margaret Findlay
May 1, 1934 – April 17, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret May Findlay announces her passing on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018 at the age of 83 years.
Margaret was predeceased by her mother Ellen Dayment, father Richard Dayment, brother Joseph Dayment and son Dale Findlay.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Frederick Jamison Findlay to whom she was married some 65 years, sons Rick (Lorie) and Barrie with grandchildren David, Brett, Kelcie… (Boyko), Steven, Felicia and Amanda. She will be sorely missed by her many friends, her neighbours and relatives.
Margaret was a talented and extremely accomplished woman of many pursuits. Known for her needle work, quilting, and beautiful flower gardens, she offset her artistic flair with a passion for the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping and four-wheel driving were some of her most loved pastimes. Margaret shone the brightest though when hosting a family gathering. The stories, the laughter, the wonderful food and wine, and the smile on her face with warm hugs will be sorely missed. .
The family would like to thank the staff at the Black Diamond Rising Sun for their dedication, and their compassionate care of Margaret in her final years. They were there to hold her hand when we could not.
