In Loving Memory Of
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Dorothy Allen age 97 of Amherst announce her passing on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Fox River, NS, February 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Pansy (Hughes) Grant.
She was the step-daughter of Media (Sweet, Clement) Grant.
She was a member of Trinity- St. Stephen’s United Church and a life member of the U.C.W. Unit 4.
Marg is survived by her daughters, Dale Jollota, Sharon Jarvis both of Dartmouth, Lorie (John) Livingstone of Riverview, NB and Son, Ian (Jacqueline), Fredericton, NB; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; Sister Lois Legere, Scarborough, ON; brother Gerald (Geraldine).
She was predeceased by her husband Walter, great granddaughter, Olivia Jollota; sisters Shirley MacGillivary, Agnes Burgess, Georgie Duffy, Alta Webster and Carmeta Sweet; brothers Joseph, Douglas, Arthur, Don, Kenny, Carrol, James, and Sterling; son in-laws James Jollota and James Jarvis.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating all in Campbell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 98 Church St., Amherst (902) 667-9906. Reception to follow.
Marg’s cremated remains will be laid to rest beside her husband, Walter in the Amherst Cemetery.
Memorial contributions donations in Marg’s memory can be made to the Cumberland VON, the Cumberland Regional Health Care Foundation or charity of your choice.
