D’ALESSANDRO, Martin October 13, 1926 – December 31st, 2017 After a long and full life Marty slipped away peacefully from us to join his partner of 67 years, his beloved wife, Betty Lorraine, whom has he sorely missed the past two years. He will be deeply missed by son John and daughter-in-law Laurie, the “daughter” he never had, the grandchildren of whom he was so proud, Lisa (David), Cara (Tim) and John (Amanda) and his beloved great-grand children, Hailey, Aidan, Elizabeth, Oliver, and Lorelei. Predeceased by parents John and Camilla, brothers, Anthony and Peter (Carmie), and survived by brother James (Lil), sister Marie and sister-in-law Gloria. Marty’s kind, generous and outgoing nature touched everyone he met and he will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and the friends he seemed to effortlessly make everywhere he went. For over eighty of his ninety-one years Marty was never far away from an accordion. Lessons from an early age, touring with a company entertaining the troops in WW2 when he was too young to enlist, countless parties, weddings and company functions as a sideline to his day job and, finally, bringing his talents to new his friends at Seasons Lakeshore, where he lived for the past three years.
