OBITUARY
Lyle “Satch” Robert Sakatch
February 24, 1931 – December 4, 2018
Satch passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years with his family by his side at the Foothills Medical Centre.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria; daughter Gina (Tim) McKay, Andrew (Valerie), Shawna (Finn); son Roger (Jody) Sakatch, Riana (Brett) Loewen/new great-grandson Everett, Dylan, Parker (Brenna); son Glenn (Linda) Sakatch, Walker and Ty; his brother Lorne (Olga); and sister Iris (Bob) Falk; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Satch fought MS for 57 years as well as heart problems, cancer, and a broken hip. He was like the Energizer Bunny, just kept going!
A Funeral Service will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Satch’s memory directly to the Mustard Seed, (www.theseed.ca).
