Obituary for
Lorane Kay Poulson
Poulsen,
Lorane Kay Poulsen
July 9, 1931 — November 8, 2018
Our mother, grandmother & great grandmother died peacefully surrounded by loved ones, hers was a life well lived. She was kind, generous quick witted and with a great sense of humour. Lorane was born in Vancouver and lived in Woodfibre and Squamish for over 50 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Erling Poulsen. They were a perfect match; their lives were filled with fun and adventures with family and friends. They loved to travel to Denmark to visit family and other parts of Europe but most of all they loved their camping adventures.
She leaves behind her 4 children, Connie Pirillo, Lila (Kristian)
Madsen, Margaret (John) Ramsay and Stephen Stacey.
Grandchildren Deacon Matheson, Amanda Matheson, Sarah Gibson
(Randy) Michael Ramsay (Lia), Ryan Keeler (Katy), Jamiee Logiacco (Matt) and Justin Keeler. Great Grandchildren, Ashley Matheson (Kevin), Arielle Matheson, Cyrus Matheson, Ryker Gibson, Ben Ramsay, Zoe Keeler, Eli Keeler and Emmett Logiacco.
She loved to cook and bake; she so enjoyed baking her famous “Banana Loaves” for the Squamish Hospital Ladies Auxiliary to support their fundraising efforts. Lorane also baked for the residents of Hilltop House and would deliver her Yummy Cake to them personally for their Friday morning coffee gathering.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Larry Klein for caring for her so kindly and compassionately. Thank you also to all the staff and caregivers at Hilltop House for your incredible care and kindness.
The family invite you to join them in Celebrating Lorane’s Life on
