Lois Mary Peard passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the age of 64 years. Lois is survived by her husband of 27 years, Graham Barnes; children, Heather and Geoffrey; brother, Philip (Cathy) Peard; uncle, Jack; and many cousins and friends. Lois was predeceased by her son, Clinton James Peard and her parents, Henry and Katherine Peard. Lois was born in Vulcan, Alberta on May 15, 1954. Her family moved to Taber when she was seven and she attended St. Mary’s school. In her youth, Lois played basketball and badminton, and was an accomplished pianist. Lois graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1977. She was a chartered accountant by profession and worked 26 years with the CRA. Lois enjoyed spending time at her cabin near Columbia Lake in B.C with her family, including many trips around the east and west Kootenay regions of B.C.
