At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday April 10,
2018, Lois Hodnett of Fredericton passed away at the age of 80. She
was a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Hatch) Banks. She was
retired from NB Power. In earlier years, Lois enjoyed cooking, baking
and travelling.
She is survived by her children Pat Carter (Chris) of Bon
Accord, AB, Stephen Hodnett of Bathurst, Lisa Hodnett of Fredericton;
two sisters Janet McElman of Gagetown, NB and Ruth Wilson (Charlie) of
Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by
siblings Kenny Banks, Inez Hamilton and Leona Ashburn.
There will be no visitation. However, a memorial service will
be held on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at 2 PM
from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel 540 Woodstock Road with
Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. A private Interment will be
held in the Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, the family has suggested that memorials
be made to the Alzheimers Society or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
