Obituary for Lillian Kent (Logozar)
KENT (LOGOZAR) Lillian, (1936-2018)
Ms. Lillian Kent (Logozar) passed away peacefully with family nearby at the Chinook Hospice on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
Lillian is survived by her husband Dale Philip Kent; her two sons and their wives; grandchildren Kevin (Kari) and Darin (Carrie); and great-grandchildren Heather, Evan, Anthony, Andrew and Breanne.
Lillian was born in Brosseau, Alberta, and was the youngest child of Nick and Genia Logozar, who immigrated to Canada from the Ukraine in the early 1900’s. During her formative years, she worked alongside her family on a small homestead, while attending schools in the area.
Lillian treasured her Ukrainian culture and the values of family, honest work, and respect for nature, which were gifts given by her parents and through her upbringing. She remained active in the Ukrainian Cultural Centre and the Heritage Seniors Club in Calgary.
The family wishes to thank staff at (Intercare) Chinook Hospice for their thoughtful and sensitive care during Lillian’s illness.
Lillian / Mom / Baba will live on in the hearts and minds of family and friends.
