OBITUARY
Mr. Leslie Robert Horne
February 17, 1921 – July 19, 2018
It is with sadness in our hearts that the family of Leslie Horne announce his passing on July 19, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gwen, his daughters Gail Busto (Vince), and Lynn Onions (Dale) and 5 grandsons and one granddaughter, of whom he was very proud. Leslie was born in Vancouver and although he travelled extensively, lived his entire life in this beautiful city. He graduated first from King Edward High School, and in 1943, from UBC with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering. Leslie worked for BC Hydro for 39 years, becoming Hydro’s Senior Cable Engineer and an expert in submarine cables. He was a passionate supporter of the Vancouver Aquarium where he volunteered for 20 years in his retirement. A Celebration of Life will be held at Shaughnessy United Church on Saturday July, 28th at 2:00pm.
