Lawrence “Larry” Henry Crouse

CROUSE, Lawrence Henry “Larry” – Age 67, of Nictaux, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by his loving family members. Born on August 10, 1950, in Middleton, he was a son of the late Henry E. and D. Leola (Burns) Crouse. In his early years, Larry had been a member of the Boy Scouts and the Nictaux Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed making a skating rink at home for his siblings in the winters and enjoyed swimming at the dam in the summers. Larry enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid bowler. He first worked as a meat cutter and later was a self-employed carpenter for 35 years. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and horses. He loved to dance, play cards in particular poker, queens and attending crib tournaments. Surviving are his partner, Catherine “Cat” Walker, Wilmot; sisters, Marilyn (Roger) Godin, Stirling, Ont.; Valerie Wyles, Halifax; Cathy (Paul Holland) Pidgeon, Tremont; brothers, David (Linda) Crouse, Windsor, Ont.; Glendon “Glen” (Brenda) Crouse, Wilmot; Sheldon (Helen) Crouse, Halifax; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Terrance Crouse, in infancy. A time of celebration of Larry’s life will take place from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, May 3, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448, with service beginning at 2 p.m. Rev. Bill McLeod officiating, with interment in Nictaux Cemetery.
