Lawrence “Larry” Edmund Arbic
1929 – 2018
Larry passed away peacefully at Matthews House Hospice on Sunday,
March 25, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife Lynne, as well as his
children Anne Monaghan (Gary), Susan Cole (Terry), David Arbic (Mary),
and two stepchildren, Kimberly Schomberg, and David Brown (Danielle).
He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Born in Bracebridge Larry spent his early life in Acton, Ontario where he
was known as Lorne by family and friends. He is survived by brothers
Raymond (Rena), Dan (Wendy), sisters Elaine Malcolm and Theresa Duncan,
and sisters-in-law Betty May Arbic and Jane Arbic-Moore. He is predeceased
by his brothers Russell and Wayne. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
For many years Larry was Director of Leisure Services for the Town of Milton until
his retirement in 1991. Larry and Lynne spent 9 years in the Parry Sound area, then moved to Briar Hill, Alliston where they have resided for 17 years.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 125 Wellington St., Alliston, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21,2018 followed by a reception at 3:00 p.m. at the Drury Funeral
Centre, 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston.
