After a long devoted life of caring for and loving others, our dearly loved Aunt Laura has slipped away peacefully to join her adored mom & dad and brothers & sisters, all of whom she missed terribly. Predeceased by nieces & nephews, Barbara (Vern) Bennett, Nancy (John, surviving) Pink, Jackie Weatherall, Earl (Dixie) Weatherall, Keith (Betty) Sjolin, Kenny (Joyce, surviving) Sjolin, Walter (Carol, surviving) Weatherall.
Survived by many adoring great, great-great and great-great-great nieces & nephews across Canada & the United States.
Laura was also predeceased by her forever friends Andy & Margaret Clermont.
Aunt Laura was born in Eastview, Ontario in 1924. She resided there in the home built by her father and brothers when she was 5 years old until she moved to a retirement home when she was 85 years young. She worked in the government for 35 years, along with caring for her aging parents. She was a baker, a cook and a knitter. We all remember looking for money in our amazing “Aunt Laura” birthday cakes and many of us were lucky enough to receive one of her phenomenal wedding cakes too!
Aunt Laura was an angel on earth, who was always there to help, to listen, to console or to laugh with; whether family, friend or stranger.
Special thanks to John Yazbeck for his kindness.
Our families would like to thank the staff of Prince of Wales Manor and Starwood Nursing Home for the excellent care given to Aunt Laura.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Friday, November 16 from 6-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation
Order Flowers

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Laura Margaret
