Obituary of Larry Moffatt
MOFFATT, Larry Malcolm
It is with extreme sadness, the family of Larry Moffatt, age 69, announce his passing on Monday, December 10, 2018, while surrounded by the love and admiration of his family.
Larry was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Lloyd and Anna Moffatt on March 02, 1949. He retired from the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region in 2004, after 38 years of dedicated and loyal service. Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making every effort to love, entertain, and care for those close to him. Even in his final days, his witty sense of humour brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. Larry, being a journeyman cook, had a passion for experimenting with his own creative (and delicious) recipes, loved singing and playing guitar to entertain friends and family, and fondly remembered the time he spent with the Regina Jaycees. In his retirement years, he and Bev loved travelling abroad to Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, and beyond. Larry’s fondest memories being the tranquility of Switzerland and the vibrance of Maui.
Larry is survived by his most loving and dedicated wife of over 50 years, Bev Moffatt; son, Brad Moffatt; daughter, Kim Zazula (Darryl) and grandson, Aaron; sister, Gail Howe (Wayne) of Regina; brothers, Gary Moffatt (Joanne) of Kamloops, BC, and Darrell Moffatt of Regina; brother-in-law, Harry Nahnybida of High River, AB; and many close nieces, nephews, and their families. Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lloyd and Anna Moffatt of Regina; sister, Brenda of Grenfell, SK; mother-in-law, Dora Nahnybida of Regina; and sister-in-law, Frances Nahnybida of High River, AB.
Donations may be made in the memory of Larry Moffatt to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143 Stn. Main, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, a come and go celebration will be held at his home, 209 E College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, December 21, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“With each day we live, life grows harder. As life grows harder, we learn, grow, and draw strength from those we love. Let there always be another day filled with love.” – Larry Malcolm Moffatt, November 29, 2018.
