Ken was born on the farm at Ryerson, SK on Oct 22, 1926, the 5th of 6 children to John and Janie Moore. He attended Plainville School until leaving during the war to help on the family farm. In retirement the farm was sold and in 1998 Ken and Merle moved to Maryfield.

Traveling, camping, fishing and woodworking were Ken’s passions in retirement. He was a history buff, especially of the world wars, and never tired of wandering around the battle sites in Northern France. He became a loving caregiver during the last few years of Merle’s life. Ken moved to Caronport in 2007 where he enjoyed horseshoes, bowling and an active seniors’ group. He married Lori Siemens on August 8, 2009.
