Obituary of June Davenport
Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, following a courageous battle on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur (Doc) Davenport June is survived by her two sons, Art (Stephanie) Davenport and John (Wendy) Davenport, her cherished grandchildren, Christian and Brooke Davenport, Nyah and Carly Davenport and Brent Wilson. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Lucy Brooks and Helen Davenport and brother-in-law Blake Heath, her special cousin and friend Mary Schilling, her “second set of boys” Craig Burkett and Dr. Andrew Burkett as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
June was also predeceased by her parents Edna and Walter Brooks, her in-laws Eva and Jack Davenport and her brothers Brandy and Jack Brooks.
June loved her work as a Nanny and dedicated her life and love to her boys and grandchildren watching them participate in their many sporting events. She enjoyed her time volunteering working with children with special needs.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses in ICU at St. Mary’s Hospital as well as the caring staff at the Carpenter House in St. Jacobs.
Friends are invited to share their memories of June with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday (today) from 2-4 pm. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 4:00 pm. A reception will be held in the Historic Kuntz House. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo
