Julia Breckner
The passing of Julia Breckner (nee Boehm) age 87 occurred at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon on August 16, 2018. She is survived by her son, Bruce; daughter in law, Nadia; 3 grandsons, Adam, Paul and Kent; brother, Egon (Kathy) Boehm and sister-in-law, Joan Boehm.
She was predeceased by her husband, Foldien (1984); son, Glen (1982); parents, Florian and Elizabeth Boehm; brothers, Raymond, Ben and Rapheal; and sisters, Josephine Bendfeldt, Mary Scherr, Helen Vogelgesang and Margaret Boehm.
Julia was born in the Colonsay District on December 17, 1930. She took her schooling there. Julia married Foldien Breckner and they resided and farmed south of Colonsay. She loved to garden, cook and in the past few years she loved her word search puzzles. Julia left Colonsay in October, 2016 and moved into Cayden’s Premier Care Home in Saskatoon where they took great care of her and she made new friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Colonsay. Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society Saskatchewan.
