Joyce Pamela (nee Toupin) Latendre
95 years
Peacefully Thursday, December 27th, 2018 at Health Sciences North with loving family at her side.
Beloved wife of David Latendre predeceased 1978. Loving mother of David predeceased (Helen), Susan Matthews (Jack predeceased), Alan (Nicole), Bonnie (Ernie), Wendy (Brad), Joanne, Bobby (Margot), Tony predeceased (Tracy), Judy Paquette (Marc) and Joyce Barnett (Dan). Cherished grandma of 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and at any given time 2 to 6 extended family were welcome at her house. Dear daughter of Victor and May (Ashdown) Toupin predeceased. Dear sister of Lionel, Denis and Gloria all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A proud Canadian Joyce had served as wireless radio operator in the RCAF during WWII. She was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 336 Falconbridge. After the war she settled in Garson where she raised 10 children. Returning to school, she received her RNA designation and then worked at St. Joseph and Laurentian Hospitals, retiring in 1988. She was an avid Montreal Habs fan and enjoyed camping and fishing. Joyce was fondly called Mom Latendre by friends. She was devoted to her family and the light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Friends may call after 1pm Sunday with a Memorial Service at 5pm under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 336 Falconbridge with words/prayers of remembrance.
Cremation with interment in the family plot at St. John Cemetery, Garson.
