Joseph Gillis “Joe” Marshall
Marshall, Joseph Gillis, “Joe”, 72,
Belmont, Col. Co., passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 in the
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, with his family by his
side. Born in Cooks Brook, he was a son of the late Alexander and
Bessie (Marshall) Marshall.
Joe is survived by his wife of 45 years Heather (Redmond)
Marshall; daughter Connie Meggers (David), Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA;
son Joey, at home; sisters, Lillian Rafuse (Donald) Hoyt, Truro,
Frances Otterson (Jack Worth), Truro; several nieces and
Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by a daughter
Catherine Marshall; sister, Hazel Cox; brothers, Bernard, Herbert,
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation or flowers by
family request. A graveside service will take place at a later date in
Watson Cemetery, Truro. Donations in memory may be made to the
Colchester SPCA, Alzheimer’s Society or to the Debert
Baptist Church. Private messages of condolences may be sent to the
