Joao “Caracol” Sousa

Suddenly surrounded by family at Hamilton General Hospital on December
19th, 2018 in his 63rd year. Beloved husband to Lucia Sousa for over 40 years. Leaving behind his three children and six grandchildren. Cherished father of Fabio (Janet), Ruben (Ana) and Lora (Bariq). Joao was a proud and loving grandfather who will be dearly missed by Nathan, Raphael, Lucas, Veronica, Victoria, and Connor. Will be sadly missed by many family and friends. Caracol was an avid fisher, and hunter, he had a passion for cars and creating everything and anything with his hands. He will always be remembered as a mentor and teacher to many. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St E, Hamilton (near James St) on Friday, December 21 from 5-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will begin at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at St . Mary’s Church,146 Park St N, Hamilton, on Saturday December 22 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
