Joan Smith (Thorp) January 25, 1936 – November 8, 2018 passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in her 82nd year at The Pines Long Term Care in Bracebridge, ON
Cherished and devoted wife of Bob for 62 years, Loving mother to Larry Smith, Rick Smith (Marilyn) , Barb Ferriman (Larry),
Cindy Nye (Mark), Lorri Warden (Rob).
Proud Grandmother of Michelle (Mark), Ashley (Andrew), Matthew (Stephanie), Sarah, Michael (Samantha), Amanda, Bradley, Great Grandmother of Mackenzie, Jackson, Ethan and Lauren.
Predeceased by sisters Ruth, Edna, Alma, Lois and Phyllis, brothers Stanley and Percy.
Joan is resting at the funeral home of Skinner and Middlebrook Ltd. 128 Lakeshore Rd East, Mississauga, ON (1 block west of Hurontario) on Wednesday November 14, 2018 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in The Chapel Thursday November 15, 2018 at 2pm. Cremation to follow.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Pines for their outstanding care, kind words and support.
