1935-2018
The death occurred peacefully at the Maplewood Manor,
Alberton, on Friday, December 28, 2018, with her loving family by her
side, of Jessie Bell Hardy, beloved wife of Leslie C. Hardy of
Alberton, age 83 years.
Born at Coleman, P.E.I. on August 4, 1935, she was the
daughter of the late Percy and Pearl (nee Collicutt)
Baglole.
Loving mother to Leslye (David) Albert of Alberton, and
Colleen (Ronnie) O’Halloran of South Kildare. Cherished
grandmother to Shawn McCormick (deceased December 29, 2018), Mark
MacCormick, Charles O’Halloran and Steven O’Halloran.
Great-grandmother to Dakota McCormick. Dear sister to Emma (Ed)
Spenchuck of Windsor, Ont. She is also survived by brothers
and sisters-in-law, Judy Dunbar, Sandy Dunbar, Muriel Dunbar, Kaye
Dunbar, Jake Fortier, Kenneth (Dorothy), Donald Hardy, Allan (Vicki),
Grant Hardy, Esther (late Floyd) Hardy. She will be sadly missed by
her many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by infant grandsons, Todd and Peter
McCormick, and by siblings, Mae Yeo, Ena Carr, Vera Robinson, Bertha
Fortier and Mona Lockhart, her half-brother, Archie Dunbar, and by her
step-family, Lorne Dunbar, Fred Dunbar, George Dunbar, Eric Dunbar,
Thirza Matthews and Martha Gordon.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton.
Funeral Monday afternoon from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at
2:00 p.m., Rev. Sheila McCrea-MacCallum and Rev. Robert Lockhart
officiating. Interment in the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene
Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of
service.
As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Church of the
Nazarene Cemetery fund would be gratefully appreciated.
