Obituary for Jean-Claude “J.C.” Robert
C’est avec grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès accidentel de Jean-Claude “JC” Robert à sa résidence le vendredi 15 décembre 2017 à l’âge de 79 ans. Il était un père et un grand-père aimable et affectueux, qui a touché la vie de tous ceux et celles qu’il rencontrait. Il fut employé pendant 38 ans comme ingénieur de machines fixes pour la Spruce Falls et renommé comme poseur de tapis. Il était un pêcheur et un chasseur passionné qui a vécu une vie bien remplie. Il laisse dans le deuil ses trois fils Daniel (Lisa) de New Liskeard, Gilles (Francine) d’Ottawa et Denis (Claire) de Gatineau qui étaient tous la fierté de sa vie; ses beaux-enfants, Raymond de Niagara Falls, Carole de St. Catharines et Sylvie (Albert) de Timmins, cinq petits-enfants : Natasha, Melanie, Mark, Érik et Mike, ses frères et sa sœur, Marcel de Thunder Bay, Yvon (Noëlla), Jean-Guy (Diane) de Moonbeam, Ronald (Shirley) de Toronto et Joëlle Brixhe de Kapuskasing. Il fut précédé par sa sœur, Gaëtanne Larice, et ses frères Gaëtan, Gaston, Marc et Roger Robert. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le jeudi 4 janvier à 10h30 en l’église Nativité-de-Marie avec le Père Fernand Villeneuve comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille serait reconnaissante de dons à la Fondation des maladies du cœur.
It is with great sadness that we announce the accidental passing of Jean-Claude “J.C.” Robert at his home on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the age of 79. He was a kind and loving father, and grandfather who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was employed at Spruce Falls for 38 years as a Stationary Engineer and was a well-known carpet and flooring installer. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his three sons, Daniel (Lisa) of New Liskeard, Gilles (Francine) of Ottawa and Denis (Claire) of Gatineau who were the pride of his life; his step-children, Raymond of Niagara Falls, Carole of St. Catharines and Sylvie (Albert) of Timmins, five beloved grandchildren Natasha, Melanie, Mark, Érik and Mike, as well as his siblings, Marcel of Thunder Bay, Yvon (Noëlla), Jean-Guy (Diane) of Moonbeam, Ronald (Shirley) of Toronto and Joëlle Brixhe of Kapuskasing. He was predeceased by his siblings, Gaëtanne Larice, Gaëtan, Gaston, Marc and Roger Robert. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4th at the Nativité-de-Marie church in Moonbeam at 10:30 a.m. with father Fernand Villeneuve officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
