James Earle MacDonald
Peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, Earle MacDonald of Ottawa at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Fawcett). Loving father of Frazer (Brenda) Scott (Susan) Blair (Ann) and Marybeth (Lesli). Dearly loved grandfather of Matthew and Sarah. Predeceased by his sisters Effie, Marianne and Catherine (Darrell) Allen and his brothers Donald (Jean), Raymond (Vi) and Gus (Mabel). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Earle was a Founding member of Emmanuel United Church, a fan of the Ottawa Senators and Ottawa Red Blacks. Special thanks for the wonderful care by the Assisted Living team at the Perley and Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre, Dr. Paul Fluit, and the staff at the Maycourt Hospice.
A Memorial Service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 691 Smyth Road, Ottawa on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 11am. In memoriam donations to Emmanuel United Church, 691 Smyth Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, would be appreciated by the family.
