Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory of
James Daniel Connor was born in Toronto on April 24, 1933, the third child of James and Barbara (née Gray) Connor, who had come to Canada from Scotland in the 1920’s. For most of James’ working years he was employed at Canadian Pacific, first as a fireman on the locomotives and then after many years he was promoted to railroad engineer. He worked there from 1950 to 1994. In 1956 he married Theresa Berube and they had two children, Daniel in 1958 and Kevin in 1960. He leaves behind his wife, an older brother and sister (John and Barbara), his two sons, two granddaughters (Lydia and Tiffany), three great-granddaughters (Tafila, Talia, and Skylar) and one great-grandson (Simba). James, like his father who had fought in WWII, was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He loved bowling, playing cards and especially dancing. In fact, the staff at the care facility where he eventually ended up considered him the best dancer in the whole home. On February 2, 2018 James, aged 84, suddenly departed from this life. He is now dancing in heaven with the angels.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of James Connor 2018.source
