Peacefully, with family by his side at Prince County Hospital
Summerside, on Thursday March 15, 2018 of James B. Stavert,
RCMP Retired, of Springfield aged 62
years. Born in Summerside on February 24, 1956, son of the
late Walter E. and Mae L. (Glover) Stavert. Husband of Bobbie
(Mitchell) Stavert. Beloved father of Ron Stavert (Erin
Jones), Jamie (Corey) Webb, Kadie (Cody) Lidstone and Walter (Melaine)
Stavert. Grandfather of Madyson, Zoey, Lexi, Ava and Hannah.
Brother of Gail Thompson, Norboro; Marvin (Sandy), Lower Freetown;
Susan MacWilliams, Summerside and Kent (Sylvia), Lower Freetown.
Son-in-law of Robert Thorne and the late Jackie (Smett) Thorne. Also
survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. Predeceased by
his brother Brian Stavert and brothers-in-law Grant MacWilliams and
Ronald Mitchell.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation
on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Monday in the
Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in
People’s Cemetery, Freetown. If so desired contributions may
be made to the Oncology Unit of Prince County Hospital.
