Jacques Gabriel Filiatrault was granted his angel wings on February 26th, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Jack passed away peacefully with a farewell tear and a smile surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was born February 1st, 1930 in Verner, Ontario to the late Armand Filiatrault and Delvina Legault. He is predeceased by his siblings, Johny (Pam), Jeanne, Gérard (Père Richard), Barney (Mercedes), Denise(Jean) and grandchildren Jannique, Annique and Renée.
Jack will forever be remembered by his devoted wife of 60 years, Jeannine and his loving children; Michelle (Marcel), Guy (Pat), Jean-Marc (Denise), Roger (Lise), Danielle (Paul), Alain (Sandy), as well as 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was also the caring brother to Roger (Fernande-deceased), Guy (Père Jean-Jacques), Simone, Juliette (Sœur Gabriel), Louis, Gabriel (Vivian) along with many other family members and countless friends who were blessed to have him in their lives.
Jack was a retired owner of Jack’s Shell in North Bay as well as a proud and devoted 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Jack touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and he maintained his trademark sense of humour all the way to the end.
The family will receive visitors at Hillside Funeral Services on Airport Rd. on, Thursday, March 1st, from 2:00-4:00 pm and from 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Vincent de Paul church on Wyld St. on Friday, March 2nd, at 10:30 am.
The family would like to thank Dr. King, Dr. Pearce, staff at the Daffodil Lodge, the North Bay LHINS and NBRHC for their compassionate care and support given to our Father in his time of need.
