Obituary of Jacqueline Archibald
ARCHIBALD – Jacqueline (nee Hardie)
Peacefully at Brierwood Gardens on Thursday November 8, 2018, in her 98th year. Loving wife of 68 years of the late Chester (2009). Beloved mother of John (Dianne) of Grimsby, Tom (Katherine) of Hinton AB and David (Bini) of Oakville. Much loved grandmother of Aaron, Kate, Dana, Lindsay, Ryan, Quinn, Evan and Kaelan. Great grandmother of 8 great grandchildren. Jacqueline is predeceased by her siblings, Gwen Thiffault, Grace Edwards, Clara Burley, Eva Wilson and James Hardie. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jacqueline (Jackie) grew up outside of Paris ON. After their marriage she and Chester settled in Brantford, then moved to Clinton ON, and back to Brantford where they resided for many years. Jackie loved the outdoors and was an avid canoeist and hiker. Jackie and Chester had hiked almost the entire Bruce Trail. She also enjoyed volunteering and quilting at her church. Jackie was warm-hearted, always full of spirit, positive and cheerful – a great inspiration to all who knew her. The family invites friends to pay their respects at FAIRVIEW UNITED CHURCH, 49 Wayne Drive on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 1-2pm and a Celebration of Jacqueline’s life will follow at 2 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road N. Brantford. If wished, donations may be made in memory of Jacqueline to the Charity of your choice.
