Passed away at his home in Burlington on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Judy. Dear father of Jeff (Shizuka), Debbie (Jeff) Hunter, Greg (Anna); Step-father of Howard (Laurie) Laanstra, Alicia (Colin) McQuistan. Cherished grandfather of Taka, Aila, Ash, Liam, Jayden, Tyler, Ethan, Matthew, Heather, Cordelia, Alison and Ian. Howard will also be missed by his niece Jo-Anne (John) Baird, former wife Gloria, other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Howard’s life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to Autism Canada would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Howard in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
