On December 24, 2018 Hilda Stickel took her long awaited journey home to be with her Lord at the age of 97 years.
Hilda is survived by her daughters Edie and Dave Alexander of Parksville, British Columbia and Mexico, Phyllis and Campbell Dick of Bawlf, Alberta and Bonnie and Jim Olsen of Atlanta, Georgia; and grandsons Jeremy and Amy Dick and great-grandson Mason Dick of Bawlf, Eric Dick of Wetaskiwin and great-granddaughters Chelsey Dick of Vernon, British Columbia and Mackenzie Dick of Wetaskiwin.
Hilda was predeceased by her parents Theobald and Emelia Hoffman; step-father Christian Beck, her husband Clarence; and all siblings and their spouses – Art and Doris Hoffman, Ellen and Ernie Mass, Emil and Alma Hoffman, Renata and Emil Warnke, Freida and Jack Shannon, Augusta and Albert Retelbach, Carl and Genevieve Hoffman, Walter Hoffman (child) and Emil Hoffman (infant). She was also predeceased by all her sisters and brothers-in-law.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to First Baptist Church Ponoka, The Canadian Bible Society, or Samaritan’s Purse.
